Milwaukee Bears Negro League Team 1923, Historical Landmark Commemoration Ceremony The YNLBP Foundation, is also pleased to announce the Milwaukee Brewers annual Heritage Day Celebration held Friday, June 8th. At the Clinton Rose Center,1:00-2:00 PM. Before Miller Park... before County Stadium... there was Athletic Park later renamed "Borchert Field,"the city's first professional ballpark. For 64 years, Borchert Field was Milwaukee's major sports venue that for generations provided Wisconsin residents a close-up view of sports history in the making. Serving as the historic stage and entry way for the Milwaukee Bears Negro League Team, 1923, and countless famous athletes.

The 14th annual Negro Leagues Tribute Game will take place on June 7, when the Crew will don vintage Milwaukee Bears uniforms and recognize former Negro Leagues players in a pregame ceremony. Fans who purchase this special ticket package will receive an item to be announced at a later date.
