Informational Literacy

Informational literacy is a set of abilities requiring learners to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate and effectively use needed info. Knowing how to effectively navigate through the web is a much needed skill in today’s workforce and in life.


Activities include: Web Quest

  1. Utilizing the elements identified in the previous workshop, learners will determine what information they are to seek.
  2. Determine what source to acquire knowledge based on that topic.
  3. Search and evaluate the information.
  4. Compare it to what they already know.
  5. Review the research cycle/(create diagrams of methods)
