Milwaukee Bears Negro League Team 1923, Historical Landmark Commemoration Ceremony The YNLBP Foundation, is also pleased to announce the Milwaukee Brewers annual Heritage Day Celebration held Friday, June 8th. At the Clinton Rose Center,1:00-2:00 PM. Before Miller Park... before County Stadium... there was Athletic Park later renamed "Borchert Field,"the city's first professional ballpark. For 64 years, Borchert Field was Milwaukee's major sports venue that for generations provided Wisconsin residents a close-up view of sports history in the making. Serving as the historic stage and entry way for the Milwaukee Bears Negro League Team, 1923, and countless famous athletes.

11:00 AM-Tee Ball for A Cause- T’ Ball Clinic
12:00 PM- Beckum Stadium Little League and Felix Mantilla Little League “All Star Game”
The Yesterday’s Negro League Baseball Players Foundation, is organized by the players of the Negro league who are commitment to the preservation and education of Negro league baseball. YNLBP is partnering for change...to Improve fundamentals, leadership and opportunities for young athletes in the sport of baseball, as a proven recipe for lifelong success on and off the field.
The goal of this cooperative is to increase the participation and opportunities in the sport of baseball for youth, with a special emphasis on Tee Baller's ( 4-8 year old), that will offer traditional and cutting-edge baseball training methods and leadership, to make an significant impact in the lives of underrepresented youth throughout Milwaukee County. Event youth activities will be held at the Clinton Rose Park, 3045 N. Martin Luther King Dr. Milwaukee, WI 53212.
12:30 -2:30 PM- Milwaukee Brewers MLB, participation and outreach
A Brewers representative would be attending along with (2-3 MLB alumni)
The Brewers Mascots would be present during youth activities
